FULL SERVICE AMENITIES

Port Hinchinbrook Marine in Cardwell has a fully equipped refit and haul-out facility that can accommodate you and your crew, as well as your own contractors if you choose to hire externally. We are equipped with a travel lift able to accommodate vessels weighing up to 80 tonnes and with a maximum width of 6.8 metres.

For work at higher elevations, such as on the ship’s mast, we can provide use of a mobile crane and a forklift.

Our facility can also provide lift-out from truck and washing-down of the ship. A hardstand can provide water and single and 3-phase power. Compressed air is available to support cleaning or paint drying. We offer boarding steps to assist with ship access. Our massive undercover refit shed can accommodate vessels up to 30 metres in length.

Our refit facility is equipped to accommodate the ship’s crew staying on board the ship during storage. Onsite shower and toilet facilities are available for the comfort of the crew. Owners have access to a lunchroom outfitted with a microwave.

Security features include a fully fenced shipyard with night lighting, security cameras, and electronic key access. We have a fully equipped chandlery and paint shed available to meet the needs of your vessel and your crew. We provide everything you could need to keep your property and your crew safe and comfortable during the refit.

Our refit facility is equipped to accommodate owners and crew who choose to stay onboard the vessel during your stay. Onsite shower and toilet facilities are available for the comfort of the crew as well as  access to a lunchroom outfitted with a fridge, microwave and BBQ facilities. Located in the Port Hinchinbrook Marina, we are easily accessible by land or by water. If approaching by water, matching draft to tide size will allow easy access. After entry through the leads at Port Hinchinbrook, the Marina will be visible to your starboard.

Do not turn into the Marina, travel up the main channel towards the boat ramp until you reach the canal visible to your port. Find us at the end of the canal. If approaching on land by Bruce Highway, we are just south of the town of Cardwell. Enter Port Hinchinbrook and continue to the end of Foxtail Avenue. Several buses service Port Hinchinbrook regularly every day, travelling north and south along the Bruce Highway from the Cardwell bus terminal. As well as a train service which leaves daily from the local train station.
